Become a Volunteer

In addition to occasional  paid positions, Haldimand Art Works also has a number of volunteer  positions available. These jobs can provide you with valuable experience  in a non-profit environment, including areas such as customer service,  fundraising, special events planning, and marketing/promotion.

New! Coming soon... Micro volunteering. Please check back on a regular basis to check out this new, wonderful way to volunteer your time or talent.

Customer Service Representative:

This is a volunteer  position for individuals who wish to invest a few hours a week or month  working with visitors who come in to view and purchase art and fine  crafts in the gallery/gift shop inside Flyers Café in Dunnville. In  addition to customer service duties, CSR's are welcome to take on  additional duties and tasks that interest them such as development of  marketing materials, fielding inquires, developing and maintaining data  bases, developing displays, etc. This position provides a wonderful  opportunity to learn about retail operations and to develop customer  service, display and basic computer skills. If you enjoy people, like  working with the public and have an interest in the arts, this  opportunity will suit you perfectly.

Art Instruction Assistance:

Our children’s programs  need supportive adults working with our instructors to ensure that kids  get the best experience possible in a safe, fun and creative  environment. If you enjoy working with children, this is an ideal  volunteer opportunity for you.

Marketing, Special Event Planning and Fundraising:

If you wish to invest your  time in a different way, there are opportunities to get involved with  operations through committees of Haldimand Art Works operated by the  Board of Directors. Committees normally meet monthly and there are  usually a small number of tasks for each committee member between  meetings; involvement should take no more than 5 hours per month. We are  always looking for people in the areas of marketing, special events  planning, and, fundraising.

If you have limited time but still want  to be involved, you may enjoy assisting with special events such as our  annual auction or the River Arts Festival. Meet people, use your skills  for a great cause, and have fun!
